State Agriculture Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy said that Telangana government’s mission is to reduce maternal and child mortality and create a healthy Telangana. Chairman Sarita, District Collector Vallur Kranti, MLAs Bandla Krishnamohan Reddy and Dr. Abraham along with KCR Nutrition Kit distribution program organized under the auspices of Health Department at S Function Hall distributed nutrition kits to pregnant women in Jyoti’s public addressThe program was initiated by State Health Minister Harish Rao from Kamareddy District, Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy and distribution of nutrition kits from 9 selected districts. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that with the foresight of Chief Minister Chandrasekhara Rao, the nutrition kit has been introduced to reduce maternal and child mortality and to keep pregnant women healthy. He said that it contains seven types of nutritious food items, which can be taken by pregnant women so that the unborn child will be born healthy. He said that the state government is providing development and welfare schemes to the people of all walks of life. He said that by providing clean drinking water to every household, no diseases will spread due to Mission Bhagiratha. He said that 70% of the diseases are caused by drinking water, the World Health Organization and the Supreme Court have also said that these precautions can only be made possible by Mission Bhagiratha in Telangana state. He congratulated the medical officers, medical staff and Asha workers as most deliveries are taking place in Gadwal district hospitals. He said that providing nutrition food to every pregnant woman would not only make her healthy but also her unborn child would be born healthy and future generations would also get a healthy society. He thanked the Chief Minister for distributing nutrition kits in the districts with anemia among pregnant women. He said that the nutrition kit contains ghee, iron tonic, dates and nutritious food. He said that in the past, Mantra sanus performed home deliveries without any operations, and my mother had 8 children and I was the seventh. On this occasion, they talked face to face with pregnant women, ANMs and Asha workers and inquired how the government hospitals were before coming to Telangana and how they are now.
ZP Chairman Sarita Thirupathaiah said that the Telangana government is supporting the welfare of mothers and children. The Chief Minister said that only if the mother is healthy, the child will be healthy by introducing the Nutrition Kit Scheme and creating a healthy Telangana.
District Collector Vallur Kranti said that every pregnant woman should take advantage of the nutrition kit provided by the state government. Rs. The Collector said that the box will contain seven types of nutritional items valued at 1960 and the nutrition kit will be provided for the second time.
MLA Dr. Abraham said that if pregnant women take nutritious food early so that they do not suffer due to anemia during delivery, it will lead to normal delivery and healthy birth of the baby. He said that nutrition food should be used as a boon for pregnant women. MLA Bandla Krishnamohan Reddy said that Telangana is ahead in implementing welfare schemes in the country. The MLA said that the government provides free services to a pregnant woman from delivery till she goes home. He said that the government is working to get them home safely through nutrition kit before weaning, KCR kit after weaning, and then AmmaOdi. The MLA said that if a girl child is born, Rs 1 lakh 116 is given to the poor girl child through Kalyana Lakshmi. On this occasion, nutritional kits were distributed to pregnant women and sarees to ANMs through the hands of the minister. Additional Collector Apoorva Chauhan, Municipal Chairman BS Keshav, Manorama, Library Chairman Raman Goud, State Nodal Officer Surya Lakshmi, Dr. Siddappa, Naveen Kranti, JDPTCs, MPPs, Asha workers, Anganwadi teachers, medical staff and others participated in this program
