Nirmal, Dec 10 : Telangana Information Technology and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao on Saturday said that there was no shortage of opportunities in the age of technology.
Speaking at the fifth Graduation ceremony of International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT)- Basara also known as Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT) in this district, Rao advised the students to work hard to grow creatively. He said that if you can get the power of knowledge to compete with the world, there will be no one who can stop you.Stating that Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Mission Learning were playing a vital role, the Minister suggested the University authorities to link educational institutions and industries to gain practical knowledge. More results would be possible when bookish knowledge is associated with practical knowledge, Rao said.Stating that the state government is committed to create infrastructure in higher educational institutions, KTR said IIIT-Basara has entered into an agreement with T-Hub.The Minister also assured to provide Mission Bhagiratha’s safe drinking water to IIIT-Basara. He said an amount of Rs 5 crore will be allocated for the establishment of the Science block. A special dispensary will be set up for the students in the campus, Rao added. On the occasion, Rao along with Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy distributed 2,200 laptops and uniforms to the students. Minister A Indrakaran Reddy was also present on the occasion.
