Hyderabad, Dec 7 : Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) on Wednesday criticized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has done nothing for the country in the last eight years except slogans. Speaking at a public meeting held at Jagtial after inaugurating Integrated District Collector Office Complex and laying foundation for party district office, CM KCR questioned whether the country has developed in any sector like irrigation, electricity, and welfare. He announced that he was ready to discuss this anywhere. With the inefficiency of the Centre, the state has lost about Rs 3 lakh crore, he said.
The Chief Minister criticized that about 10,000 industries were closed in the country during the eight year rule of the BJP led NDA government at the Centre. For this 50 lakh people lost their jobs. Rao also criticized the PM Modi government for selling profit making public units. He alleged that the Centre was attempting to sell Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) which had 25 lakh agencies and 35 lakh crore assets.
He asked Intellectuals, youth and people in the country to think on this and this evil tradition should go away. Elaborating welfare schemes including Rahythu Bandu, Rythu Bheema implemented by the TRS government, CM KCR said no state was implementing such innovative schemes in the country. Rao assured that the Rythu Bandhu and Raythu Bhima would be implemented as long as KCR is alive. The decision on releasing the next phase of Rythu Bandhu funds will be taken in the next Cabinet meeting, he said.
The Chief Minister said that the state government would develop Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy temple on par with Yadadri Narasimha Swamy by spending Rs 100 crore.
