Ramagundam MLA “Poru Bata” to protect Singareni coal industry

PEDDAPALLI: Peddapalli district Ramagundam BRS MLA Korukanti Chander on Thursday started a protest (Poru Bata) from Singareni OCP-5 mine in Godavarikhani against the central government’s bid to completely privatize the coal industry in Telangana state. Ramagundam MLA spoke at length addressing Singareni coal mine workers. Slogans were raised protesting the policies of the central government. Ramagundam MLA clarified that they are ready to do any number of movements for the welfare of workers for the protection of Singareni. He said that the existence of the Singareni Coal Industry is in danger of becoming questionable due to ill-advised decisions of the Central Government. He said that under the leadership of Telangana Chief Minister KCR, there will be a large-scale movement to save the Singareni coal industry. It is clear that the state of Telangana is going to be dark with the decisions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. But they said that they will protect the Singareni coal industry by reversing the central policies.
