Sayuri Bhanap is the winner of Kondapalli’s “Student Excellence award

Hyderabad: The student of Bachelor of Fine Arts College, Sayuri Bhanap, has bagged this year’s “Student Excellence award”. The award carries Rs 10,000 cash & citation. This year recipient is the third year student of the BFA. The award was instituted by the late teacher-turned-renowned painter, Kondapalli Seshagiri Rao’s family to encourage the young students of the Fine Arts College.
The competition was conducted today and was attended by the Principal of Fine Arts, Prof T Gngadhar, and the Head of the Department Dr. Priti Samyukta, besides other faculty members. According to an official press note from the family, so far nine students have received this prestigious award. It’s been almost a decade since the award was constituted and given to the highest scorer from 3rdyear, Dept of Painting and CFA, JNAFAU is immensely thankful to the Kondapalli family for encouraging art students as a fitting tribute to the great master. Next year it will be a centenary birth anniversary and the family hopes to celebrate and mark it in a befitting manner.
