SBI STAFF CONTRIBUTE RS. 33.78 LAKH TO ARMED FORCES FLAG DAY FUND

State Bank of India, Hyderabad Circle (Telangana State) employees have contributed Rs. 33,78,200/- for Armed Forces Flag Day Fund, Telangana.Chief General Manager of SBI, Hyderabad Circle Amit Jhingran handed over a cheque for the amount, to Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, who is the Chairperson of Armed Forces Flag Day Fund, in the presence of Col Ramesh Kumar, Director, Sainik Welfare (Telangana), Manju Sharma GM-1, Jitendra Kumar Sharma DGM & CDO, Maj JK Sisugoswami AGM & CSO and Pallam Raju AGM (M&C) of SBI.Appreciating the Bank, the Governor said the contribution is for noble cause and gesture will inspire other organisations and citizens to emulate. She also acknowledged the sustained and valuable contribution of SBI in support of welfare of war veterans, ex-servicemen, war widows and their dependents.
Mr. Jhingran said SBI remains at the forefront of supporting soldiers and citizens at large. It offers a host of schemes for serving defence personnel and look forward to contributing to various schemes for rehabilitation and resettlement of ex-servicemen. He said SBI is a leading organization to give employment to ex-servicemen.
