HYDERABAD: The environs of Pallavi International School in Keesara came alive as students participated in the first ever annual sports day organized with a theme – “Infinito, Infinite Possibilities and Achievements” – with enthusiasm on the school premises on Wednesday. The performances of the students of various grades left everyone especially parents spell-bound. After welcoming the guests on to the dias the sports day report was presented. This was followed by flag hoisting and march past along with Olympic torch lighting.
Chief Guests Additional Collector Medchal Malkajgiri District Abhishek Augustya IAS & Group Captain S M Yunus, VM, College of Air Warfare, reviewed the march past. The Guests of Honour –, Indian female gymnast Budda Reddy Aruna, athlete Lavanya Reddy and singer Aditi Bhavaraju were also present on the occasion. Pallavi Group of Schools General Secretary Director Sushil Kumar, Academic Director T Sudha were also present.
Addressing students, Group Captain Yunus advised the students to evince interest in sports along with academics. Physical fitness would be maintained if everyone shows interest in sports. Participation in sports would always help the students in their career as well.
Additional Collector Mr. Abhishek Augustya underscored the need for students to excel in sports.Mr Sushil, the director of the school said that the school does not only focus on the academics but also makes sure that students participate in various activities for their overall development. Academic Director Dr Sudha, while addressing parents talked about how the management is always for the students and bringing in new initiatives to help students excel. While giving out the annual report, Ms Grecilda Rose, principal spoke about the academic and sports achievements of the school.
