I-Day: TN Govt announces CM medals to 15 Police personnel

Chennai, August 14: The Tamil Nadu government today announced Chief Minister’s medals to lS police officers of the State for their excellence in public service and investigation to commemorate Independence day. While five police officers were chosen for their excellence in public services 10 others were chosen for their excellence in the investigation. An official release here today said as a token of recognition of the outstanding work done and the strong commitment to selfless public service the following police officers have been awarded the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Police Medal for Excellence in Public service on the occassion of Independence Day.

Similarly in recognition of the excellent work performed in criminal investigation and with a very to applaud the commitment and dedication to work the following police officers have been selected for the award of Tamil Nadu CM’s Police Medal for Excellence in Investigation.

They included G.Stalin, DCP, Headquarters, Madurai city, S. Krishnan, DSP, Crime Branch CID, Organised Crime Unit, Salem City, Ms.M.Brindha, Inspector of Police, Roshanai Circle Villupuram district A.Praba Inspector of Police Crime Branch CED Namakkal District V.Srinivasan Inspector of Police Lay and Order South Zone Greater Chennai Police Ms.M.Sumathy Enspector of Police All Women Police Station Kodaikanal Dindigul District Ms.C.Nagalakshmi Enspector of Police Kariappattinam Po- lice Station Nagapattinam District V.Thulasi Doss Sub Inspector of Police Poonamallee Traffic Investigation Wing Greater Chennai Police S.L.Parthasarathy sub-inspector of police organized crime unit E crime branch CED Chennai and IOK Elayaraja sub-inspector of police Prohibition Enforcement Wing Adyar Unit Greater Chennai Police. The recipients of the medal will be given a gold medal weighing eight grams and a lump sum grant of Rs.25,000 each. These medals will be presented by CM MK Stalin at a function to be held in due course.
