Date:

CHENNAI, JULY 29 (UNI) Observing that youths are India’s growth engines and the whole world is looking at them, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said the New Educational Policy ensures greater freedom for youths to take decisions according to evolving situations.

Delivering the 42nd Convocation of the Anna University the first Prime Minister to address in 70 years after India’s first PM Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Modi said.“Your growth is India’s growth, your learning is India’s learning, your future is India’s future. Take every opportunity and make the best out of it”, he said Stating that a strong government was not restrictive, but responsive, Modi said it will not move into every domain but will limit itself and make space for people’s talent.

Earlier there was a notion that a strong government means it should control everything and everyone. “We have changed this. A strong government does not control everything and every- one. It controls the system. A strong government is not restrictive but is responsive. A strong government does not move into every domain. It limits itself and makes space for people’s talent. This is why you see reforms in all spheres and people have the freedom to take decisions on their own”, Modi said. The NEP ensure greater freedom for the youth to take decision according to evolving situations, he added.
