Telangana: 3 CMs offer prayers to Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy at Yadadri temple

Hyderabad, Jan 18 : Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao along with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday offered prayers to Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy at Yadadri temple in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, CPI General Secretary D Raja who also visited the temple reportedly did not offer prayers to the Lord.
The leaders who arrived here on Tuesday to participate in the Bharat Rashtra Samithi’s (BRS) maiden public meeting scheduled to be held this afternoon at Khammam, 200 kms from here, reached Yadadri in a special helicopter from Begumpet Airport and offered special poojas to Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy.
Earlier, the dignitaries were welcomed by the temple authorities with poornakumbham. After darshan, temple pundits blessed them with vedic hymns and offered ‘theertha prasadam’ of the Lord. On the occasion,KCR explained the uniqueness of the temple to the leaders. Telangana Ministers Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Vemula Prashanth Reddy, MLC Kavitha, MP J Santosh Kumar and local MLA Gongidi Sunitha accompanied them. Heavy security arrangements have been made by deploying about 1600 policemen at the temple, police sources said.
