Telangana Cong gears up to conduct ‘Haath Se Haath Jodo Abhiyan’ from Jan 26

Hyderabad, Jan 10:Telangana Congress party is making elaborate arrangements for the successful conduct of ‘Haath Se Haath Jodo Abhiyan’ here from January 26. Hyderabad District Congress Committee President Sameer Waliullah held a meeting at Gandhi Bhavan on Tuesday to review the preparations for the ‘Haath Se Haath Jodo Abhiyan’ in all divisions of city. Several important decisions were also taken during the meeting. Talking to media persons later, Sameer Waliullah informed that the Congress party would conduct cricket tournaments, medical camps and street corner meetings in all parts of Hyderabad city as part of ‘Haath Se Haath Jodo Abhiyan’. He said medical camps would be held in all Assembly constituencies while cricket tournaments would be organised in all municipal divisions. Further, street corner meetings will be held in municipal wards to convey the message of AICC leader Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra.Fruits and medicines will be distributed among patients in all government hospitals in Hyderabad, Waliullah said, adding ‘Haath Se Haath Jodo Abhiyan’ was the perfect campaign to strengthen the party at the booth-level in Hyderabad.He said hundreds of youth, especially from the Old City of Hyderabad, have announced their support for the campaign.“We are planning to reach every household in Hyderabad during the two-month-long campaign. This will help us not only connect the people with the Congress party, but also in getting a broader knowledge being faced by the people in each area.
Based on the inputs received during the ‘Haath Se Haath Jodo Abhiyan’ we will formulate a strategy to strengthen ourselves in the city in future,” the Congress leader said. When asked on Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi’s proposed visit to Hyderabad in March as part of ‘Haath Se Haath Jodo Abhiyan’, Sameer Waliullah said that the Congress High Command would share the details soon.He said that the ‘Haath Se Haath Jodo Abhiyan’ was being held at the National level and Hyderabad DCC would make all efforts to make it a grand success.The Congress leader said that the complete schedule of holding medical camps and cricket tournaments would be finalised in the next few days.
