AGRI STARTUPS SHOULD KEEP INDIA ASAGLOBAL LEADER IN AGRICULTURE: SHOBHA KARANDLAJE

Hyderabad: At MANAGE-Samunnati Agri Startup Awards 2022 function held at MANAGE, Hyderabad, Sushri Shobha Karandlaje, Hon’ble Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India gave away awards to 32 Agri Startups which includes 5 National level Awards including Two Special Awards for Women Agri- Startups) and 27 State level Awards. The Award Winners received cash prizes and mementos. The award func- tion was attended by more than 200 participants includ- ing awardees, their family members and MANAGE family members.

Speaking on the occasion, Hon’ble Minister said that Agri Startups should play a key role in handholding smallholder farmers in the country and ensuring more income for their produce in the domestic and global markets. Agri Startups with their innovative should keep India as a Global Leader in Agriculture, she said. She highlighted the initiatives of Government of India to sup- port agriculture sector through Agriculture Infrastr ucture Fund, RKVY, Oilseed Mission and promotion of FPOs, Agri Startups, and One District One Product (ODOP) and reiterated Prime Minister’s vision to make Atmanirbhar Bharath in Agriculture sector and Agri Startups have to put their efforts to realise this vision.
