APEDA TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE SCHEME TO SC/ST AGRI ENTREPRENEURS TO BECOME EXPORTERS.

Hyderabad, 29th JULY, 2022 Agriculture and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority APEDA, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India in association with Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry ( DICCI ) has today organized a sensitization program to SC / ST Agri Entrepreneurs of Telangana at CGO Towers Hyderabad. Addressing the participants Chief Guest, K Polaiah APEDA Board Member said that APEDA is providing financial assistance for agricultural products to export. He urged SC/ST Agriculture entrepreneurs to utilize APEDA financial assistance scheme to become exporters. Mr. R Ravindra, DGM, DGM Regional Head (WR &SR), Mumbai addressed the program and highlighted the various activities carried out in the promotion of its scheduled products. Further encouraged participation in agriculture export entrepreneurs to become successful exporters. DICCI Vice President Mr. Anand Kumar highlighted the various activities carried out by the Chapter on the promotion of FPOs / Agri entrepreneurs. Shri. R.I.A Selvan, General Manager, NABARD, Telangana said that NABARD credit and other facilities are provided to Farmers Producer Organisation (FPOs) in the state. Further, he said that NAB- ARD is promoting integrated rural development and secure prosperity for the FPO groups in the state. Dr. D. Punnam Kumar, ITS, Deputy Director General of Foreign Trade( DGFT) elaborated on various registration procedures of import and ex- port code, various incentives, export promotional schemes under EPCG, transport and marketing assistance to Agri & Horti exporters, etc. Shri. Abhay Tangade, Dy. Director, FSSAI explained the registration of food processing units & its requirement, principal FSS regulations, the procedure to obtain an FSSAI license, etc on this occasion participants. Mr. Rama Krishna Reddy, PPO, Plant Quarantine Station, Mr. Jyotirmai, Prl. Scientists, CFTRI conducted teach technical sessions for the participants.

Officials from DGFT, Plant Quarantine, NABARD, FSSAI, EIA, CFTRI, etc participated in the program.
