Bandi Sanjay’s padayatra resumes after a gap of 3 days

Date:

Hyderabad: A day after the Telangana High Court suspended the notice issued by the Warangal police on Pada yatra, State BJP President and MP, Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Friday resumed his third phase of ‘Praja Sangrama Yatra’ in the Jangaon district.
A single-judge bench of the High Court on Thursday suspended a police order directing the BJP to immediately stop the padayatra.

After a gap of three days, Sanjay resumed the padyatra in Jangaon district, where it was stopped following his arrest on Tuesday. A large number of BJP workers and supporters participated in the yatra. The High court suspend- ed the notice issued by the Wardhannapet Assistant Commissioner of Police ask- ing the BJP to stop the padayatra immediately in view of the tension situation in Jangaon district.

The ACP stated that there is no permission for the yatra in the district and warned the BJP leaders that if they continue padyatra legal action will be taken. The BJP had challenged the notice in court, which was suspended by the Judge terming it as unconstitutional. Reacting to yesterday’s court order, Sanjay said the TRS-led government failed again in its attempt to stop the padyatra and the Court Order was a slap on the face of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao ( known as KCR), who sought to divert the people’s attention from the Delhi liquor scam allegedly his family members were involved.
