Hyderabad, Aug 18 (The South India Times): Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Wednesday inaugurated an Integrated Collectorate Complex in Medchal Malkajgiri district. Speaking at a public meeting on the occasion, Rao said the district was growing rapidly. To provide basic infrastructure, the government would provide Rs 10 crore additionally to the existing Rs 5 crore to each MLA in the district. The Chief Minister that the entire country was looking at the state as it is moving ahead in all the sectors.
This is possible only with the blessings of people, efforts of people’s representatives, and government staff, he said and cautioned people not to fall trap to them (BJP) as the state would slip backward from its accelerated development path. KCR stated that It was necessary to discuss the developments happening in the country.
”Conspiracies are going on in the name of caste and religion. We should move forward beyond caste and religion? he said. Elaborating on developmental programs implemented by the TRS government during the last eight years, Rao said that the Telangana state is the only state in the country to supply quality power to all sectors 24×7.
Even the National capital Delhi is also not able to implement it. It was possible only because of the cooperation of all of them, he said. The Chief Minister said that Telangana’s Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) was more than doubled to Rs 11.55 lakh crore in 2021-22. A similar trend in per capita income is pegged at Rs 2.79 lakh in 2021 from 1.24 lakh in 2013-14. It is possible only because of the proper utilization of the state’s resources. He also said that the government has announced to extend Aasara pensions to 10 lakh persons additionally on the occasion of Diamond Jubilee Celebrations of India’s Independence Day.
The state government has already been extending the Aasara pension to 36 lakh people. With the new announcement, the total Aasara pension beneficiaries would reach 46 lakh in the state, KCR said. The Chief Minister said that earlier, the people of Telangana had migrated to other states for their livelihood but the situation was changed now. About 25-30 lakh people from 12 other states were migrating to Telangana for their livelihood, Rao said.
