Siddipet, August 17 (The South India Times): District Collector Prashanth Jeevan Patil visited the Venkateswara cinema theater in Siddipet town on Tuesday and watched the Gandhi movie with the children for a short time. Speaking to the school students on this occasion he said Mahatma Gandhi’s life is an inspiration to all.
In order to instill the spirit of patriotism in the students, the government is screening the Gandhi movie for free by showing the fighting spirit of Mahatma Gandhi in the Indian independence struggle and various moments in Gandhiji’s life to the students in the form of a film.
Gandhiji was a great leader who united the nation to oust the British who ruled India for cen- turies using the methods of truth and non-violence as weapons. No matter how many obstacles he faced in the freedom struggle, he fought till the end of his life with the aim of achieving the independence of the country and succeeded.
In the spirit of Gandhiji, all children should practice discipline, travel the path of peace and non-violence shown by Gandhi, and serve the development of society and the country. Collector was accompanied by RDO Anantha Reddy, Municipal Commissioner Ravinder Reddy, and officials of the Education Department.
