Development works should be undertaken in Vemulawada town so thatspirituality can be strengthened: District Collector Anurag Jayanthi

THE SOUTH INDIA TIMES (RAJANNA SIRICILLA CORRESPONDENT) Rajanna Sirisilla District Collector Anurag Jayanti has ordered the officials to make the town of Vemulawada, which is famous as Dakshina Kashi, beautiful Tuesday, the district collector conducted a review with the officials on the development progress of Vemulawada town. He guided the officials on the development works to be undertaken on this occasion, the District Collector said that the town of Vemulawada has become very important due to the fact that thousands of devotees are coming to have a darshan of Sri Rajarajeswara Swamy, who is popularly known as Dakshina KashiIn the town, Nandi Kaman, Sai Raksha Garden and junctions on the way to Jagityala should be beautified. The municipal authorities have already identified 23 places, including the bridge, to put up wall paintings to emphasize the history and spirituality of Vemulawada.

For the convenience of pedestrians, modern footpaths should be established on both sides of the roads in the town. A complex of modern street shops should be established for street vendors. Also, advanced toilets should be established in the town. Bund should be developed on both sides of the source regarding the suggested works, proposals should be sent within a week to start the work and steps should be taken to complete the work within a monthVemulawada RDO Leela, Municipal Commissioner Shyam Sundar, Town Planning Officer Ansar, Tehsildar Raju, officials of relevant government departments, local public representatives and others participated in the meeting.
