District Collector Prashant Patil has directed hospital officials and municipal officials to improve the sanitation programs in the area of Siddipet Government Area Hospital. On Thursday, the District Collector made a surprise inspection of the Siddipet Government Area Hospital and inspected all the rooms of the medical departments and the related medical equipment, and learned about their functioning. The patients said that the doctors were coming on time and checking the medical services provided to them by talking to the patients and providing the necessary medicines free of cost. He said that the Siddipet Government Regional Hospital provides all types of state-of-the-art medical services free of charge to poor people, so people should take advantage of the services of this hospital instead of going to private hospitals. He said that he should examine the maternity ward and find out how many deliveries are taking place per day and how many normal deliveries are taking place in them and try to do normal deliveries as much as possible.

The collector said that he would arrange for a special birth chair for giving birth in the labor room if the doctors requested. After inspecting the toilets, he asked how many sanitation workers are working in the hospital and told the sanitation managers to keep the hospital clean by conducting regular sanitation programs and saying that sanitation is also very important in the hospital. He said that the Telangana Diagnostic Hub has state-of-the-art medical equipment to conduct all types of medical tests, so blood tests should be conducted and the results provided within the stipulated time. Hospital Superintendent Dr. Kishore was ordered to make the Arogyasree counter accessible to the public, keep 108 vehicles for transporting corpses under hospital control, make necessary repairs to the biomedical waste collection room, and remove useless items and missionaries. Municipal Commissioner Ravinder Reddy was ordered to conduct a special sanitation drive in the vicinity of the patients’ assistants’ rest room and remove the garbage and wild plants and fill it with mud to prevent water from accumulating and hand over the night shelter building owned by the municipality to the hospital. TSMIDC DE Vishwa Prasad was directed to lay four feet wide tiles around the old buildings of the hospital to prevent weeds from sprouting, to prevent water moisture from entering the walls, and to construct metal sheds in the area where the patient assistants sit outside.
