The South India Times Gadwal: District Collector Vallur Kranti Anganwadi CDPOs, supervisors, and officials have directed that every pregnant woman should take nutritious food during the month of nutrition and provide Balamritham to underweight children with special attention.

On Friday, a review was conducted with the officers on Nutrition Month in the meet- ing held in Mu Hall of the District Collectorate. On this occasion, the Collector said that the ANMs, and Anganwadi Asha workers in the villages should pay special attention to the pregnant women and provide nutritious food while monitoring them until delivery. Every mother wants to see that she is not anemic. Parents and uncles of pregnant women should also be called to make them aware of the dietary rules that should be taken, and regular examinations should be conducted for Ashas, ANMs, and pregnant women without anemia. Steps should be taken to identify underweight children and ensure that they receive Balamrit every day. It is recommended to take various types of nutrition that is rich in vitamins and iron every day. A woman should be antenatal (ANC) at least four times before deliveryTests should be done only at the nearest health center or hospital, and breastfeeding mothers and newborns should be given breast milk.
