The South India times Peddapalli: Peddapalli District Collector Sangeetha Satyanarayana inaugurated the Blood Donation Camp organized at District Government Hospital on Wednesday as part of Independence India Diamond Jubilee celebrations. The Collector said that measures are being taken to involve 75 blood donors in each constituency and at present blood is being collected keeping in mind the capacity of the blood bank.
84 people donated blood at Peddapally Government Hospital, 71 at Godavarikhani Area Hospital, and 60 at Manthani Community Health Centers. On this occasion, Collector Sangeetha said that many people are losing their lives due to the non-availability of blood in emergency situations. She called everyone who is healthy to come forward and donate blood voluntarily.
