Hyderabad, Aug.2 (UNI): Festival of Paper “Paper Day’ was conducted on August 1 at FTCCI, Red Hills here in a grand manner, which was overwhelmingly attended by paper traders, paper manufacturers, government officials, printers and publishers, corrugators, notebook manufacturers and waste paper dealers. Total Paper Fraternity with the message that paper is an environmentally friendly product for humankind as it is sustainable, recyclable, and bio-degradable. Paper is the best alternative to single-use plastic. In India paper is not manufactured by cutting trees or forests. 71% of Paper is produced using Waste paper, 8% using agriculture residue, and 21 % using wood from social forestry and plantations.
The meeting was organized by the Federation of Paper Traders Associations of India, the Indian Institute of Packaging, and Telangana Pa- per Merchants Association.
