Govt schools to get a facelift in Telangana

HYDERABAD AUG 3: (THE SOUTH INDIA TIMES) After the formation of Telangana state, the state government has taken many steps to strengthen the education sector. As part of this, the government has launched a new program called Mana Vooru – Mana Badi / Basti – Mana Badi for the development of all government schools in the state. Through this program, an amount of Rs.7,289 crores and 54 lakh rupees has been allocated for providing infrastructure in all government and local body schools in the state. These works will benefit 19,84,167 students studying in 26,065 government and local body schools in the state.

Through this program, toilets with water facility, electrification, drinking water supply, adequate furniture for students/teachers/ staff, painting of the entire school, major repairs, green chalkboards, protective walls, kitchen sheds, new classrooms in place of dilapidated rooms, dining facility in the high school halls, digital education will be arranged. Infra-structural facilities will be pro- vided in government and local body schools in three years.

  • FOUR GOVERNMENT SCHOOLS HAVE BECOME BETTER THAN CORPORATE SCHOOLS WITH WORKS DONE AT A COST OF RS.3.57 CRORES UNDER THE MANA OORU MANA BADI PILOT PROJECT.
