Greenery should be developed on both sides of the national highway: Collector C. Narayana Reddy

The South India times Nizamabad: Collector C. Narayana Reddy has ordered the officials of the concerned departments to take action on a war footing with a well-planned plan to increase greenery on both sides of the National Highway No. 44 passing through the district.

On Thursday, he inspected the saplings planted along the highway from Chandrayanpally to Ditch Pally, the border area of? the district. The Collector noticed the errors here and there and advised the officials to rectify them immediately. All the length of the road, there should be no empty space anywhere, and plants should be widely planted, and a pleasant atmosphere should be seen with greenery on both sides of the road.

It was ordered to repair the tree guards and sticks and to plant any new plants immediately in place of the damaged plants. He said that measures should be taken by sauce ring around the plants and without weeds and grass. The officials of the Forest Department, Employment Guarantee, Panchayat Raj, Mandal Parishad, and other departments are advised to work in coordination with each other and improve the situation on both sides of National Highway No. 44. A deadline has been set to complete the work by the end of this month under any circum- stances.

The officials of the National Highways Corporation have been directed to carry out works to make the median area in the middle of the road attractively green with beautiful flower plants. It has been suggested that the district administration will provide an employment guarantee and other cooperation if necessary for these works, but the works should be completed within the stipulated time. District Forest Officer Sunil, National Highway Authority P.D.CS accompanied the CollectorRao, Indalwai Forest Range Officer Himachandana, and others.
