The South India times Hyderabad: Hexagon Capability Center India (HCCI), the single largest R&D hub of the technology major Hexagon AB, on Wednesday signed an MoU with BVRIT Hyderabad College of Engineering to collaboratively prepare students for the evolving industry needs. The engagement will include offering internships, mentorship programs, exposure to state-of-the-art technologies along with software engineering practices, and possible employment offers Students will be able to participate in paid projects on industry-specific use cases.
Under the agreement, HCCI will help BVRIT curate its curriculum concerning Artificial Intelligence (AI) and ML. The plan also includes providing exposure to collaborative technology-focused events and Hackathons.
In 2020, HCCI also signed an MoU with the Government of Telangana to contribute toward the government’s commitment to sustain and grow the AI knowledge base in the city and state. Speaking on the occasion, Navaneet Mishra, Senior VP and General Manager, HCCI, said, “This is the sixth joint university initiative that underscores our commitment to preparing the country’s workforce for the future in the area of emerging technologies. Making the university’s curriculum industry-responsive is a win-win relationship for both. Engineering R&D firms and institutions of higher learning. These industry-academia ties have greatly aided our efforts to expand the talent pool ready for industry engagement.”
