Heavy rain likely in Telangana in next 24 hours : Met

Hyderabad, Sept 12: Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in Adilabad, Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Jayashankar Bhupalpally and Jagtial districts of Telangana during the next 24 hours, the Meteorological Centre said on Monday.

In a bulletin here, it said that gusty winds speed reaching 30-40 kph is likely to prevail in the state during the next 48 hours. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at a few places in Telangana during the next five days, the bulletin said.

Very heavy rainfall occurred at a few places in Nirmal and at isolated places in Adilabad & Komarambheem and heavy rainfall occurred at a few places in Jagtial,Komarambheem, Mancherial Nirmal, and Nizamabad & at isolated places in Adilabad, Kamareddy and Peddapalli districts of the state during the last 24 hours. Southwest Monsoon has been active in Telangana, the bulletin added.
