‘Heavy rain likely in Telangana in next 48 hours

Hyderabad, Aug 20: Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in Mancherial, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, and Mulugu districts of Telangana during the next 24 hours, the Meteorological Centre said on Friday. In a bulletin here, it said that the same situation is likely to prevail in Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, and Mancherial districts of the state on August 20. Thunderstorm accompanied by lightning and gusty winds ranging from 30-40 km ph is likely to occur at isolated places in a few districts of Telangana during the next 48 hours.

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at a few places in the state during the next five days. The Southwest monsoon has been weak in Telangana during the last 24 hours.

Rain occurred at isolated places in the state during the same period, the bulletin added.
