The South India times: Manakondur Constituen cy MLA Rasamayi Balakishan inaugurated the Gi rls’ Junior College on Mon day at Girls’ Gurukula School in Illanthakunta Man dal Center of Rajanna Sirisilla District. Afterward, teachers were honored by lighting a lamp on the occasion of Teacher’s Day (Guru Puja) which is celebrated every year in honor of Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s birth anniversary.
On this occasion, Rasamai Balakishan said that if parents give birth to us, it is the Guru who gives full meaning to that birth and life. He said that teachers are the ones who show the path of knowledge to those who are in the darkness of ignorance and fill their lives with light. He said that even an ignorant person can become wise if he has the grace of a teacher. It is indeed a great blessing to celebrate teachers’ day on 5th September every year to remember the teachers who light up our lives.
MLA Rasamai said on this occasion that teachers carve our future like a sculpture, and if I am in this position today, it is the result of the knowledge I have learned from many teachers. He said that a person who has respect, humility, and loyalty to his teacher throughout his life will rise to higher heights with the acquisition of more knowledge.
