KCR to inaugurate Police Command and Control Centre on Aug 4

Hyderabad, July 28 (UNI): Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will inaugurate the iconic Integrated Command and Control Centre at Banjara Hills in the city on August 4. Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand on Thursday issued a memo to various departments involved in the project, asking them to complete the remaining works at the earliest.

“Since there are many works pending completion and there are several aspects to the arrangement of logistics, planning, and execution of this historic function, duty charts and roles and responsibilities of the various officers of Hyderabad City Police have been discussed and delineated. It is requested to kindly execute the assigned tasks with all your commitment and zeal so that the program is a grand success and raises the prestige of Hyderabad City Police,” Anand said in the memo.

According to officials, the Integrated Command and Control Center, a first for the nation, will assist the police in connecting the operations of several units under one roof and function as a state-level multi-agency technological fusion center. In line with Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s vision, it will also serve as a platform for crisis management, disaster management, and other significant emergency situations. There will also be an emergency response management system to help people in distress. The CCC would house a war room and a center of excellence for operations monitoring and in- creasing staff capacity.

The Centre will a network of over 9.25 lakh cameras installed across the State and help the police with advanced monitoring. Moreover, the building has a two-story park- ing lot with a helipad on its roof. Tower A, which stands on the left side of the center, will house the Hyderabad police commissioner’s office as well as administrative divisions. The state-level surveillance, which has access to every camera in Telangana, will be in Tower B on the right. The She Teams, emergency response-related agencies, Hawk Eye assistance, and the traffic command center will also be housed in the tower. Officials claim that the Telangana Police now use technology as one of their most important force multipliers in their fight against crime.
