Philipp Lehner, CEO of ALPLA Global, was the guest of honor. Addressing the gathering before the inauguration, KT Rama Rao said Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao always says that whatever is taught must be aligned to the industry requirement. The Dual Education Centre that is set up is in line with that thinking process. It gives much-needed Industry exposure to its students. Out of 400 applications received, just 11 are shortlisted which includes four girls. The Dual Education Centre will be a role model to the rest of the industries, he said and congratulated ALPLA India’s MD Vagish Dixit for such a futuristic initiative.KTR stressed the decentralization of industries and their growth.

All the parts of India must be growth corridors, he added. He highlighted five silent revolutions as White, Yellow, Pink, Blue, and Green through which overall development of the State across sectors is happening. While explaining the White revolution, KTR gave an example of how Fonterra, a New Zealand-based Dairy company contributes 8% to its nation’s GDP. White revolution can transform the economy. It has all the power, he emphasized. He also reminded us that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao always tells them their existing investors are the best brand ambassadors for future investments into the State.
The Industries Minister reminded the audience how Telangana achieved the unique distinction of being the State that offers peace to its industries and entrepreneurs. The peace of doing business is more important than the ease of doing business. added the cost of doing business and quality of doing business are also equally important. Able leadership and stable government in Telangana is leading the State in all-around development, he added. “Ours is an inclusive approach. Gradually, Telangana is also getting known as a manufacturing base”, he concluded.
Austrian Ambassador Katharina Wieser said this plant is the best example of good bilateral relationships between India and Austria. It is my second visit to the city. Dual Education Centre is a successful model of Austrian Education, she said.

Philipp Lehner, CEO of Alpla Group observed the inauguration as a festive day. “Global expertise and local capabilities are married in this plant. India is a developing hub. Hyderabad is an important market. This plant will develop local solutions with global technology. Technology is important. Safe and sustainable products are even more important. We find a way to bring them all together”, he added.

Commissioner of Technical and Collegiate Education, Navin Mittal, said Dual Education Centre is a solution to India’s skill crisis. The idea emerged on the sidelines of the CII Education Summit. It suits Indian needs, he said. He urged other industries to replicate this model.

ALPLA Mould Shop in Pashamylaram is ALPLA Global’s third Mould shop—the other two being in Austria and Germany. The choice of Pashamylaram, Telangana, reflects huge confidence in the techno-commercial skills of Indian professionals to support high-end technical solutions from ideation to design and execution on highly complex injection mold-related projects including manufacture of precision closures, pumps and devices, and other injection molded component, said Vagish Dixit, MD of Alpla India.ALPLA’s Dual Education Center draws its inspiration from similar programs in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, Vagish Dixit added. The program has been innovatively tweaked, thanks to the Government of Telangana’s Department of Technical Education, by ensuring that diploma students from various polytechnic colleges complete two years of theoretical education in their colleges and then join the Dual Education Center of ALPLA. In this center, they are given practical hands-on education and training on the latest CNC machines and state-of-art technologies in mechatronics. Students in this program are fully paid during their training period and offered jobs at the end of the program, Vagish Dixit said, adding that ALPLA India has invested Rs 60 crore in the tool room and Rs 10 crore in Dual Education Center. With this, ALPLA’s investment in Pashamylaram, is Rs 500 crore, making it one of the top 15 plants out of 177 plants worldwide.
