Peddapalli: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Monday said that he was asked by leaders of farmers’ organizations from 26 states to enter National Politics and asked people at a public meeting here whether he should accept the proposal.
KCR said this after inaugurating the integrated Collector Office. The farmer leaders met Rao in Hyderabad two days ago. The Chief Minister predicted that the farmers’ government would come once after throwing out the BJP-led government at the Centre. Rao lashed out at the Centre for imposing Goods and Services Tax (GST) on all essential commodities, including milk. The utilization of power by farmers in the country was only 20.8 percent, he said farmers are aspiring for a power supply without meters. Rao said that the Centre has extended Rs 12 lakh crore to the banks in the name of Non-Performing Assets. But it was not willing to extend financial help to the farmers.
KCR urged the people to foil the conspiracy of privatization of Singareni by the Centre. He gave a call that everyone should prepare for BJP’s ‘Mukt Bharat’.The Chief Minister said that the state was implementing several innovative schemes including 24- hour free power, Aarogyasri, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima, and Mission Bhagiratha. No implementation of such schemes, even in Narendra Modi’s home state Gujarat. He stated that the Centre was forcing farmers to install meters for agriculture pump sets. “There is no point in installing meters for the agriculture pump sets”, Rao remarked. KCR sanctioned Rs one crore each to three Municipalities of the Peddapalli district. He also sanctioned Rs 10 lakh each to the Gram Panchayats of Manthani.
