The South India times Nizamabad (August 16): The 75th Independence Day celebrations were held in grand style at Police Parade Ground in Nizamabad district headquarters on Monday. From morning till afternoon, the Pendragas activities continued in a festive atmosphere. As the celebrations are being celebrated on the occasion of Vajrotsavam, the district administration has made elaborate arrangements. State Roads and Buildings Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy participated as the Chief Guest and unfurled the National Flag. ZP Chairman Dadannagari Vitthal Rao, Mayor of the city, who had earlier received the salute from the police, along with Minister Vemula, city dignitaries, and non-officials, congratulated Independence Day. He addressed the public by explaining the progress report of the district. The programs being implemented by various departments and the progress achieved were seen in the Shakatala exhibition. Certificates of appreciation were presented to the employees who rendered the best services. The government has distributed the newly sanctioned Asara pensions to the beneficiaries. Children’s cultural performances entertained the audience during the Pandragastu celebration.

In fact, as it was raining and the ground was wet, Minister Vemula Prashant Reddy, who thought that there was a danger of the girls slipping, refused to listen to the students but persistently performed cultural programs and showed their love and affection for the country.
