The South India times Jagtial: The Teachers’ Union Struggle Committee (USP C) has demanded that the new pension system be canceled and the old pension system restored.
On the call of the State Steering Committee of the USPC, protesting teachers staged a demonstration in front of the Jagtial District Collector’s office on Thursday observing the pension strike under the auspices of the Jagtial District USPC.On this occasion, the leaders of the Jagtial District Steering Committee said that the Telangana State Government, which claims to be a job- and teacher-friendly government, criticized the lack of action towards the employees in that direction.
He said that the states of Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh have already restored the old pension system for employees and teachers and are getting amnesty from the employees of those states.
On this occasion, he demanded that Telangana state should also cancel the new pension system and bring a law to implement the old pension system, only then there will be a chance to trust the government as a friendly government for employees and teachers. After being in government service for a long time, he expressed his concern that due to the implementation of the new pension system after retirement, he was unable to support his family at least.
On this occasion, they demanded that the state government should immediately introduce a resolution in the assembly and implement the old pension system that there is social and economic insecurity, and pension for teachers is not a beggar, it is the right of the employees.
