SCR celebrates Har Ghar Tiranga Program on a grand scale across the zone

The South India times Hyderabad: Under the aegis of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ (AKAM), ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ program is being celebrated on a grand scale over South Central Railway (SCR) to encourage the employees to hoist the National Flag at their homes. An SCR release here on Saturday said that It is envisaged that all the staff members should hoist the Tiranga at their homes during the Independence week from today to Monday. Approximately 80,000 households of SCR employees have hoisted the National flag at their homes. The employees working at Zonal headquarters, Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntur, Guntakal, and Nanded have enthusiastically participated in the program.

The National flag has been hoisted in all the offices, workshops, Railway colonies, educational & training institutes, and hospitals to invoke patriotic fervor. SCR General Manager (Incharge) Arun Kumar Jain stated that it is a great initiative by the Government of India and the Indian Railways to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the people and to promote awareness about the Indian National Flag. He appreciated the officials and Divisional Railway Managers of all six divisions for taking up the initiative on a large scale over the zone. Jain further advised the team to reach out to a maximum number of people to bring the Tiranga home and hoist it to mark the 75th year of India’s independence. To amplify the outreach, SCR has initiated various steps to implement the Har Ghar Tiranga Yojana like Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav logo stickers have been pasted on 772 locomotives,
