Strike is the only way to achieve 11th wage : HMS

Date:

The South India times Peddapalli: Singareni area HMS leader Riyaz Ahmed clarified that some unions are conspiring to sell out to the management regarding the implementation of the 11th wage for Singareni coal mine workers, and a strike is the only way to get a better wage deal. Addressing a press conference held at the Press Club in Godavarikhani, Peddapalli district on Monday, Riyaz alleged that during the JBCCI meetings, representatives of some trade unions were working as coverts for the management to do injustice to the workers.

He said that in the past, the 10th wage was increased by 20 percent, but now, even though the 11th wage should be increased further, there are conspiracies going on to implement only 10 percent. He blamed some groups for saying that the issues discussed in the JBCCI meeting should not be discussed out-side. He said that HMS is against this policy. He said that HMS would fight for justice for Singareni coal miners.
