The South India times Karimnagar: Karimnagar District Collector RV Karnan In the 372nd birthday celebrations of Sardar Sarvai Papanna officially organized under the auspices of the BC Welfare Department at the District Collectorate meeting hall on Thursday, the District Collector Sardar Sarvai Papanna paid tributes by placing flowers on his portrait. Speaking on this occasion, the collector said that Sarvai, who started as a common man, grew up to be a noble person and became an example for all.
He said that he was born on August 18, 1650, in the Kheelashapur village of Raghunatha Palli Mandal of the present Janagama district in the Gowda caste. It is a pleasure to organize Sardar Sarvai Papanna Jayanti celebrations as part of the 75th Independence Vajrotsavam, remembering his struggle and sacrifices against the zamindari system. He informed that it is a great thing for the government to officially organize the birthday celebrations of such a great person to be remembered.
