Tribals raised slogans asking non-tribals to leave Manya

Date:

The South India times: The relay hunger strike by Adivasi Navanimran Sena reached its twelfth day on Saturday. Bhadrachalam legislators came to the initiation camp to stop this initiation. But the protestors raised slogans in front of the MLA that cases should be filed against the non-immigrant tribals and that the non-immigrant tribals should leave.

MLA Koghenem Veeray a Sarpanchi asked Narsimha Murthy to stop his initiation, but Narsimhamurt wanted to file criminal cases against non-migrants. He said that the details of the non-immigrant tribals who have arrived so far and the details of the structures without permission are wanted. They demanded that LTR cases be registered against the illegal constructions of the non-immigrant tribes. Cases were filed against non-tribals and constructions without permits were said to be demolished.

Responding to this, MLA Gunem Veeraiah said that tribals and non-tribals should live together as brothers and sisters. Sarpanchi Narsimhamurthy said that a tiger and a goat do not belong in the same cage. Sarpanchi Narsimhamurthy also reminded us that the Hon’ble Supreme Court has made it clear that if tribals and non-tribals are in the same place, the innocent Adivasis will be cheated by the non-tribals.

Sarpanchi questioned ML A Kogunem Veeraiah whether they are trying to convert this area into a not her non- scheduled area like Manga Peta and Mandamarri with liberal decisions. He said that it is a shame that the MLA who did not come to visit the tribals of Komaram Bheem Colony attacked the tribals and boycotted the village and came on the side of the non-tribals. The MLA was deposed by Sarpanchi whether he was on the side of tribals or non-tribals. 1/70, the MLA was asked to implement the Pesa Acts vigorously. Sarpanchi Narsimhamurth y said that the initiation will be stopped only after the illegal constructions are demolished and cases are filed against the non-migrant tribes. He said that non-tribals belonging to his party are trying to weaken this movement. The MLA brought to the notice that they are looking to file illegal cases against the activists and if necessary, their party leaders are looking to carry out special attacks.
