Date:

Hyderabad, July 21 (NSS): Day 4 of the Monsoon Session of Parliament witnessed a stormy session. The TRS MPs staged a walkout in Lok Sabha, demanding discussions over inflation, price rise, and GST taxes on household commodities. TRS leader Nama Nageswara Rao insisted on a debate on the issue in Lok Sabha when the four-day parliamentary session began on Thursday. When the Speaker did not allow them, the party MPs staged a walkout protesting against the Centre’s attitude. DMK, SP, BSP, and TMC parties also joined TRS in staging a protest against the Centre’s stance. After investigations by the NIA, two charge sheets against Ansari and Abi Mohammad, both from Nepal, were filed in September 2016 and October 2017. Ansari has been convicted under various sections of the IPC, and the UA (P) Act, and the quantum of punishment would be pronounced on July 22, the statement said.
