TS is number one in the country in distribution of pensions

Date:

The South India times Nizamabad: State Minister for Roads and Buildings Vemula Prashanth Reddy has clarified that Telangana State is number one in distributing pensions to the elderly, widows, disabled, single women, beedi workers, and others. He said that no other state in the country is distributing pensions like Telangana. Minister Prashanth Reddy handed over the sanction documents of pensions issued by the government under the Asara scheme to those above 57 years of age as well as new applicants.

While 52 thousand people are already receiving support pension in the Balkonda constituency, 10 thousand new people have been given a place on the pension list. On Tuesday, the minister distributed the sanction documents of pensions to the beneficiaries of Velpuru, Mortad, and Balkonda mandals. Speaking on this occasion, thanked Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for taking a bold decision by granting new pensions, despite the immense financial burden on the state government.
He said that CM KCR has got the honor of pro- viding pensions even to those who have completed- ed 57 years of age with the intention that the elderly should not depend on others and lead a dignified life.

It is stated that Telangana provides pensions to beedi workers unlike any- where else in the country. Actually, the new pensions were supposed to be distributed two years ago, but the delay happened due to the Corona crisis. Finally, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has kept his promise and said that it is heartening to grant new pensions as well.

Minister Prashant Reddy explained with statistics that compared to the state of Gujarat, which boasts of being a development model, 20 times more pensions are being distributed in Telangana. 6. Only 13 in the state of Gujarat with a population of 30 crores. He said that 50 lakh people are being given pensions of only one hundred crore rupees per month. He said that pensions are being distributed in Gujarat at the rate of 750 rupees for old people, 950 for single women, and only 600 rupees for disabled persons.

In contrast to that, in Telangana state, which has a population of only 3.80 crores, pensions are being distributed to 48 lakh people literally at the rate of one thousand crore rupees per month, he said. He said that if Uttar Pradesh, the largest state in the country, has a population of 23 crores, only 86 lakh people are being provided Rs 430 crores per month as pensions.

He said that the situation of Haryana, Madhya Prade sh, Rajasthan, and other states is similar. Minister Prashant Reddy stated on this occasion that everything he said was true. He urged the people to recognize the facts and support the welfare regime of the KCR government in Telangana.
