The south India times Peddapalli: Telangana State Planning Commission Vice President B. Vinod Kumar has called upon everyone to join hands for the development of the country and show the unity of the country. He said Everyone should work for the development of the country. After unfurling the national flag at Peddapalli Collectorate on Monday, Vinodkumar addressed the people at length before that, he received the salute. Vinod Kumar said that the government has sanctioned 26,555 new Asara pensions to Peddapalli district on the occasion of Vajrotsavam and then distributed Asara identity cards in the district.

On this occasion, he presented certificates of appreciation to 249 officials and employees of various departments who showed the best performance in the district. The cultural performances performed by the students to celebrate Independence Day impressed the audience. District Collector Dr. Sangeeta Satyanarayana, ZP Chairman Putta Madhu, Additional Collector Lakshmi Narayana, DCP Rupesh, MLC Bhanu Prasad Rao, Peddapally MLA Dasari Manohar Reddy, Ramagundam MLA Korukanti Chander, Additional Collector of Local Bodies Kumar Deepak and others participated in the independence ceremony. Similarly, Ramagundam Police Commissionerate Area, Ramagundam Singareni, RFCL, NTPC Thermal Power Station, and Mantini, Sultanbad of Peddapelli district organized Independence Day celebrations on a grand scale.
