Kicking off the BJP’s campaign for the LS polls from Tamil Nadu by addressing a massive public meeting in the Textile city of Coimbatore, he said “Be it the Lok Sabha elections, or the upcoming Vidhan Sabha elections, I’m damn sure you’ll turn the table this time!”
“I’m totally confident about this!”, he said, and added that the Union government headed by Prime Minister Narendra has launched several schemes that has changes the lives of the poor across the country. “It’s indeed a matter of great opportunity for me to be present here among you all”, he said, adding, “I pay my respects to Lord Ayyappa and extend greetings to the people of Tamil Nadu. Tamil is the oldest culture, which truly has brought glory to India”.Citing various initiatives launched by the Centre, he said India is marching forward and was taking a big leap under the powerful leadership of Modi “. We can say with confidence that India is now in the safe hands”, he added. “India, in this ‘Amrit Kaal’, has been forging ahead with strength and he will soon become the greatest leader of the world”, Nadda said, in his address in English, which was translated by Coimbatore South MLA Vanathi Srinivasan in Tamil.
Stating that India was the greatest exporter in the Toy industry, he also said “we are the second largest Chemical industry, we are the world’s second largest steel exporter, and we are doing excellent in the pharmaceuticals arena too.” Taking a dig at the ruling DMK and its ally Congress, Nadda said “DMK is not a regional party, it’s a family party.” “D stands for Dynasty, M stands for Money swindling and K stands for Katta panchayat”, the BJP Chief said.
Not sparing Congress, Nadda said “We have to think and judge what the Congress govt has done to the country in the last 70 years” However, on the other hand, ever since the BJP came to power, the poor in the country has been empowered and women of the country have been empowered.
The Modi government has truly changed the lives of people, he added. Infrastructure development, right from defence to roads, from education to the medical sector has been done in the country. “I must bring this to your notice that the country is in the safe hands, but the state of Tamil Nadu is not”, while reiterating that the DMK is a family party, pursuing dynastic politics.
“I request you all to see to it, that the state be ensured with ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’…Ensure bringing some infrastructural changes along with the overall development of the State through BJP”, he told the gathering.
On the Centre handling the COVID pandemic, Nadda said the Modi regime has exported India’s COVID vaccines to more than 100 countries that included
free of cost to more than 45 countries, saving the lives of the people across the world.
While China and other European Countries and USA were struggling to get their people vaccinated against people, thanks to steps taken by the Modi
government, more than 2.20 crore people have been vaccinated in India. “That’s why we are here without wearing face masks”, he said and appealed
to the people not to lower their guard in the wake of spike in cases in some countries, and follow COVID safety protocols like wearing masks, hand washand maintaining social distancing norms.
