TRS party now officially changed as BRS; ECI approves

Hyderabad, Dec 8 : After more than two-months submitting the party’s resolution to the Election Commission of India (ECI) for changing TRS name to BRS, TRS party Supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) on Thursday received an official letter from ECI, approving to change the name of Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) as “Bharat Rashtra Samiti” (BRS). On October 5 this year, the ruling TRS in its state general body meeting passed a resolution to change the name of the party from TRS to the BRS.
To that effect, necessary amendments to the party Constitution have also been made in the same meeting. A delegation led by former MP B..Vinod Kumar from TRS, submitted the party’s resolution letter for changing the party name to BRS to the ECI in October this year.
I n this context, BRS President and CM KCR decided to organize the formation programme of “Bharat Rashtra Samiti” at the auspicious time of 1.20 pm on Friday and commence the official programmes relating to it. On this occasion, Mr KCR will sign on the received official letter at 1.20 pm in reply and send to the Election Commission. Later, CM KCR will hoist the BRS flag. There will be an inaugural ceremony.
The Chief Minister asked the state party Executive Committee members, party district Presidents, Ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs to attend the programme in Telangana Bhavan. Along with them, Mr KCR said that Zilla Parishad Chairmen, various Corporation Chairmen, DCCB Presidents, DCMS Presidents and party chiefs should reach the Telangana Bhavan before noon tomorrow
