Warangal, Dec 5: Role of Telangana Journalists in Telangana Movement is unique, said Chairman of Media Academy of Telangana State Allam Narayana. Participating as the Chief Guest in the “Journalistula Athmeeya Sammelanam’ presided by the Govt Chief Whip and Warangal West MLA Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar organised at Abhiram Gardens here on Monday, Narayana saluted to the sacrifices of the journalists for the realization of the separate Telangana State. Speaking on the occasion, Govt Chief Whip and Warangal West MLA Dasyam Vinaybhaskar said that in the Telangana movement, journalists did many programs for a separate Telangana state and raised the voice for a separate Telangana State. He assured the journalists that the government would extend all kinds of help to the journalists. He said that the government will help in every way for the welfare of journalists. Stating that the role of Journalists of Telangana in general and Warangal in particular is significant, Govt Chief Whip Vinaya Bhaskar said that the journalists brought to light the injustices done to Telangana through their writings. Earlier, one minute silence was observed for the journalists who sacrificed their lives for the cause of separate Telangana State. Many of the leaders of the Journalists’ Unions spoke on the promises made by Chief Minister KCR for the welfare of the journalists in Warangal and requested the Govt Chief Whip to bring them to the notice of the Chief Minister.
