Who approached Kavitha for party defection needs to be determined :TPCC President

Date:

Hyderabad, Nov 18 :Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Revanth Reddy on Friday said that BJP and the ruling TRS are creating a toxic environment in the state. Addressing a media conference here, Revanth said that a tussle is going on between BJP and TRS due to differences in stakes and due to this reason, the BJP is carrying out raids with ED and CBI, the state government is carrying out raids with ACB, SGST and police. He criticized that the central and state governments are trying to hide the drawbacks of 8- years under the guise of controversies. If the government’s decisions are questioned by anyone, they are attacked. KCR’s attitude in the case of MLA poaching is funny as he is doing politics by heeding to the words of already sold out MLAs, the TPCC Chief said and adding that everyone knows how those four MLAs came into the TRS party. Can’t those who are sold once be sold again? If BJP has nothing to do with the MLA poaching case, why did it go to court? Why did it try to get a stay? TRS MLC Kavitha, the daughter of CM KCR, admitted in a press conference today that she was asked to join the BJP. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) should record the statements of CM KCR and MLC Kavitha in this incident. Who approached Kavitha for party defection needs to be determined, he said.. Revanth demanded that MLC Kavita’s comments should be investigated ‘suo moto’. If the investigation is restricted just only to the four MLAs, the SIT will also have to stand guilty before the court.
The people’s issues in the state are getting sidetracked, he expressed his concern that there is no discussion on important issues like farm loan waiver, procurement of paddy, podu land, double bedroom, fee reimbursement, unemployment allowance, Mallanna Sagar & Mid Manair flood victims, Dindi project, and filling up of government vacancies . The Congress decided to fight on public issues, he said we will discuss with all the leaders through a zoom meeting tomorrow and soon announce the Congress plan of action. First, we will fight on farmers’ issues. He said that in the parliamentary sessions starting from December 7, on behalf of the weaker sections, the congress party will fight on the BC census, the funds they should get. Revanth made it clear that it is the BJP that invited Kavitha to join the party and not the Congress. He said BJP MP, Dharmapuri Arvind who raised this issue should answer. He said, criticism should be answered with criticism. Moreover, attacks are not appropriate in a democracy. He said TRS leaders are resorting to attacks because the people of the state have rejected the party.
He said that the Congress party is against such attacks. Revanth stated that the attacks are wrong no matter whoever does it.
