A politically ever-active Neelam Madhu Mudiraj, who lost the election from the Medak parliamentary constituency in the recent Lok Sabha polls, is now vying for a berth in the state Legislative Council, according to the Congress party sources.

From serving as the Sarpanch of Chitkul village in Patancheru Asscembly Constituency, Neelam Madhu Mudiraj rose to the level of contesting the election to the Medak Parliamentary Constituency in 2024 General Elections. However, Madhu lost the
election to Madhavaneni Raghunandan Rao of Bharatiya Janata Party. Madhu contesting on the Congress ticket gave a tough fight and secured 4,32,078 votes as against the winner 4,71,217 which was a majority of 39,139.

Throughout Madhu’s campaign he got an unwavering support of the people of across the Medak LS constituency, especially Patancheru assemby segment. Their belief in his capabilities and dedication has been instrumental in propelling him into the political arena. Madhu recognizes that the people hold the power to shape the destiny of their constituency, and he aims to be their voice in the legislative assembly.

Besides representing the voice of Mudiraj community, a prominent section among the OBCs in Telangana, Madhu also took up the cause of the Scheduled Caste community. Seeking a platform that aligns with his values, he joined the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). This move was fueled by his commitment to champion the cause of the Scheduled Caste community and address their issues.

In November 2023, with a goal of actively contributing to the betterment of his own Mudiraj community, Madhu sought to represent the Patancheru Assembly Constituency as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA). This move signifies his dedication to bringing about positive change and advocating for the people’s concerns in Medchal. However, even after losing the election, Madhu remained steadfast in his commitment to serving the public and advancing social awareness and inclusivity.

Madhu’s resilience amidst adversity is noteworthy. In the 2014 elections, he contested for the prestigious position of Zilla Parishad Terrotorial Constituency (ZPTC) member. Despite the position being vacated due to unforeseen circumstances, his dedication to serving the people has never waned. He continues to be a beacon of hope, striving to create a better future for the backward and downtrodden sections of society.

Madhu has actively resolved many of the village’s developmental issues, participating in social service events such as Clean and Green and Palle Pragathi, which focuses on rural hygiene and increasing green cover. His massive planting project as part of Haritha Haram in Chitkul village demonstrates his commitment to environmental sustainability. He has also donated essential facilities like an 8-foot idol of Lord Shiva to Vaikuntdhamam and a Vaikunta chariot to the community.

Madhu’s philanthropic efforts extend to supporting farmers by purchasing and donating tractors and providing financial assistance to the elderly and underprivileged. His work has earned him the prestigious International Seva Ratna Award in Delhi. Madhu has also organized cricket tournaments to encourage young sports players and ensure the impoverished receive necessary assistance.

Madhu’s efforts in community development include advancing educational facilities, promoting clean water and sanitation, and collaborating with the state government to develop infrastructure. His initiatives have fostered agricultural practices and gender equality, empowering women through educational and vocational training.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Madhu’s leadership was exemplary. He ensured the provision of crucial medical supplies, financial aid, and support for frontline workers. His proactive measures and dedication to public health have been instrumental in combating the pandemic’s impact.

In recognition of his outstanding services, Madhu received the HYM International Recognition Certificate. His aspiration to become the Patancheru MLA is rooted in extensive experience, dedication to public service, and a track record of tangible achievements. Madhu’s candidacy represents an opportunity for the Mudhiraj community to have a strong advocate in the legislative assembly. As a leader committed to the welfare of his constituents, Neelam Madhu Mudiraj is now poised to bring about positive change and progress to the Patancheru area as an MLC.
