Organisation and Human beings

The untimely death of young celebrities and even corporate executives once again raises the question of whether the youngsters who are pursuing their passion to sing, dancing, and so on or those who work in various organizations are unable to manage their personal life.
The youngsters working in government organizations may not be under pressure but may be under harassment or forced to do something under pressure from the higher-ups. However, the youngsters who are working in private organizations are indeed made to work under pressure with no family or personal life resulting in losing their skills or management executives who manage them.
Many organizations and the top management are developing trust deficits and attempting to micromanage their staff expecting them to constantly think and work for the organization. The management often claims that they are paid to work which they assume as an investment without realizing that the salaries, perks, etc are paid from the income generated and not part of capital investment.
With the proliferation of mobile technology, everyone is forced by top management to be constantly on mobile to take action required at any time of the day. Though not generalizing, some management executives who also run/own the organizations often think and sleep only about their organization and expect the employees to follow them by keeping their WhatsApp, and email constantly in working mode.
Having no other alternative and keeping in mind running the family, they are indeed working under pressure. Some of them are sleep deprived which is slowly affecting their health. Of late, our PM has been shown as an example of how he works 18 hours a day for the sake of the people without realizing that he has a battery of people around him who take care of much of his official and personal work.
It is in the same way many top management executives often claim how much time they are spending for the organization. Do the people who work for them have the same luxury to take care of their home and family? It is time for the owners and top management executives to show some humanity towards the people or else they would stare at more youngsters meeting the same fate as celebrities and many others like them.
Even machines are given a break or else one fine morning it can lead to a major mishap or even stop working. The world would not collapse or organizations would not close down if those who work were allowed to take a break from their work and have their own “me time”. Organizations have thrived and continue to do so even now where management poses trust and does not put pressure on staff by micromanaging their work.
Organizations collapsed not because the employees did not constantly look at WhatsApp or emails but due lack of foresight or reckless business calls. It is time to think organizations can’t exist without humans as even robots need to be developed by humans.
