Nepal Police raid call centers operated by Chinese nationals

Kathmandu, July 25 (IANS) Nepal Police on Monday raided two call centers operated illegally by Chinese nationals in Kathmandu. Nepal Police of- ficer Bharat Bohora said they have confiscated documents and laptops and arrested one Chinese national and 20 others during the operation. The Chinese national had rented a house in Kathmandu to operate the call centers. The police have suspected that Chinese nationals could be involved in cybercrime and run other illegal activities. On Sunday, a police team conducted a similar kind of the raid in Butwal city near the India-Nepal border where Chinese and Indian nationals were caught running an illegal call center.
