New Google Pixel Phone Confirmed With Metal Frame and Long Update Support
Google confirms pre orders for its upcoming Pixel phone starting February 18 featuring metal frame new Tensor chipset improved cameras long software support and strong security upgrades for global markets

Google has officially confirmed that its upcoming Pixel smartphone will be available for pre order starting February 18 across India and other global markets. The announcement has generated strong interest among Pixel fans waiting for the next addition to the lineup.
According to Google, users who sign up on the Google Store before February 13 will receive a special email on the day pre orders open. The offer mentioned in that email can be applied while purchasing the Pixel 10a, unlocking additional benefits for early buyers.
A teaser shared by the company offers a first look at the phone’s design. The device appears to feature a clean rear panel without a raised camera bump and comes with a metal frame. The teaser highlights a blue color option, pointing toward a premium yet minimal look.
Well known tipster Evan Blass has also shared a front image of the device. The display design suggests larger bezels, similar to what was seen on the Pixel 9a. While the look may be familiar, Google seems focused on durability and consistency rather than radical visual changes.
Leaks suggest the Pixel 10a will feature a 6.28 inch Full HD plus OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is expected to reach a peak brightness of up to 2000 nits, making it suitable for outdoor use.
Under the hood, the phone is likely to be powered by Google’s Tensor G4 chipset paired with the Titan M2 security chip. It may come with 8GB LPDDR5x RAM and storage options going up to 256GB using UFS 3.1 technology.
On the camera front, the Pixel 10a is expected to include a 48 megapixel primary sensor along with a 13 megapixel ultra wide lens. For selfies and video calls, a 13 megapixel front camera is likely to be included.
Battery capacity is tipped at 5100mAh, with support for both wired fast charging and wireless charging. Google is also expected to include an in display fingerprint sensor for biometric security.
The phone is said to run on Android 16 out of the box and will receive seven years of operating system and security updates, continuing Google’s long term software support promise. An IP68 rating for dust and water resistance is also expected.
Pricing is rumored to be around 500 dollars, which roughly translates to Rs 45200. With strong software support, refined design, and reliable hardware, the Pixel 10a is shaping up to be a solid option in the premium mid range segment.
