Google Pixel 10a Gets Major Price Hike in India as Buyers Look for Better Deals

Google has increased the Pixel 10a price by Rs 6000 in India while several online retailers continue offering the smartphone at lower rates with attractive purchase options.

Google Pixel fans in India are facing an unexpected surprise as the company has increased the price of its popular Pixel 10a smartphone. The revision comes at a time when several major smartphone brands are adjusting prices due to rising component and manufacturing costs across the industry.

The Pixel 10a was launched in India in a single 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration at a price of Rs 49,999. However, customers visiting the official Google Store India website will now find the device listed at a significantly higher price. Following the latest revision, the smartphone has become Rs 6,000 more expensive, taking its price to Rs 55,999.

Despite the increase on Google’s official platform, buyers still have opportunities to purchase the device at lower prices through other channels. Several ecommerce platforms have not yet reflected the revised pricing, creating a window for customers looking to save money. On some online marketplaces, the Pixel 10a continues to be available close to its original launch price, making them attractive alternatives for potential buyers.

The price adjustment places the Pixel 10a in a more competitive segment where consumers often compare features, software support and overall value before making a purchase. Even with the higher pricing, Google is relying on the phone’s long term software commitment and premium user experience to attract customers.

One of the biggest highlights of the Pixel 10a is its software support policy. The smartphone runs on Android 16 and is promised to receive seven years of operating system upgrades along with seven years of security updates. This extended support cycle remains one of the strongest selling points for the device in the mid premium smartphone category.

The handset features a 6.3 inch Actua pOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2424 pixels. The screen supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, delivering smooth scrolling and responsive performance. Protection is provided by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, while peak brightness reaches an impressive 3000 nits for better outdoor visibility.

Under the hood, the Pixel 10a is powered by Google’s Tensor G4 processor paired with the Titan M2 security coprocessor. The combination is designed to enhance artificial intelligence capabilities, security features and overall device performance. The phone includes 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, offering enough capacity for most users.

Photography remains a major focus for Google’s Pixel lineup. The Pixel 10a comes with a dual rear camera setup featuring a 48 megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization and a 13 megapixel ultrawide camera with a 120 degree field of view. On the front, users get a 13 megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

Battery life is supported by a 5100mAh battery that offers both 30W wired charging and 10W wireless charging support. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 6, NFC and USB Type C. The smartphone also carries an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, adding extra durability for daily use.

With smartphone prices continuing to rise across the market, the Pixel 10a joins a growing list of devices affected by higher production costs. For consumers planning to buy the phone, checking prices across multiple retailers could result in substantial savings before the revised pricing becomes standard everywhere.
