Infinix Note Edge 5G Set for India Debut with 6500mAh Battery and Ultra Slim 7.2mm Design

Infinix Note Edge 5G will launch in India on February 18 featuring 6500mAh battery slim 7.2mm body Dimensity 7100 chipset curved AMOLED display and 50MP camera setup.

Infinix is gearing up to introduce its new Note Edge 5G smartphone in India, and the company is betting big on style and battery life. Scheduled to launch on February 18 at 12PM, the handset will be available for purchase via Flipkart, where a dedicated microsite has already gone live.

What immediately sets the device apart is its slim profile. At just 7.2mm thick, Infinix claims it will be the slimmest phone in its segment. Despite the sleek frame, the smartphone packs a massive 6500mAh battery, aiming to deliver extended usage without adding bulk. The battery supports 45W fast charging and also offers 10W reverse wired charging. A bypass charging mode has been included to reduce heat buildup during gaming sessions. According to the brand, the battery is engineered to retain over 80 percent of its health even after 2000 charge cycles.

On the front, users will find a 6.78 inch 1.5K 3D curved AMOLED display. The panel supports peak brightness of up to 4500 nits, making it suitable for outdoor viewing. It also carries TUV certification for reduced blue light exposure and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i for added durability.

Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 chipset. Infinix states that the phone has crossed 750000 points on the AnTuTu benchmarking platform, indicating strong mid range performance. The global version is promised three years of operating system updates and five years of security patches, though confirmation for the Indian variant is awaited.

Photography appears to be another focus area. The global model features a 50MP main rear camera accompanied by a dual flash setup. Camera modes include portrait, night, vlog, slow motion, time lapse, panorama, document scan and AI assisted shooting. For selfies, the device offers a 13MP front camera with an 82 degree field of view. An RGB Halo Light on the rear panel adds a distinctive visual touch.

In terms of design options, the phone will arrive in Stellar Blue, Silk Green and Lunar Titanium shades in India. The blue variant sports a metallic back finish, while the green option comes with a silk fiber texture, giving buyers a choice between glossy and soft touch aesthetics.

Globally, the Infinix Note Edge 5G has been introduced at a starting price of 200 dollars, which roughly converts to Rs 18200. Industry watchers expect the Indian pricing to be in a similar range, making it an attractive pick for buyers looking for a stylish 5G smartphone with a large battery and premium display features.

With launch day approaching, all eyes are now on how aggressively Infinix prices the device in India’s competitive mid range market.
