NCET 2026 Notification Released for Integrated BEd Admissions in IITs and NITs
National Testing Agency announces NCET 2026 for four year Integrated Teacher Education Programme, offering admissions across sixty four national institutions with online exam scheduled in April.

The National Common Entrance Test NCET 2026 notification has been officially released, opening the door for admissions into four year Integrated Teacher Education Programme courses for the 2026 to 27 academic year. The entrance exam will enable students to secure seats in leading central and state universities along with premier institutions such as IITs NITs and Regional Institutes of Education.
According to the notification issued by National Testing Agency, admissions will be offered in nearly sixty four national level institutions, with around six thousand seats available across BA BEd BSc BEd and BCom BEd programmes. Selection will be based on NCET rank followed by counselling conducted by participating institutions.
Candidates who have passed Class Twelve or are appearing for Intermediate second year examinations in 2026 are eligible to apply. The online application process will begin on February twelve and close on March ten. Fee payment will be allowed until March eleven, while application corrections can be made between March twelve and March fourteen.
The NCET 2026 written examination will be conducted online on April seven at centres across the country. The test will be held in thirteen languages and will follow an objective multiple choice format. Questions will be based on Class Twelve syllabus along with sections on general knowledge current affairs reasoning numerical ability language comprehension and teaching aptitude.
The Integrated Teacher Education Programme is aimed at preparing future educators through a rigorous academic and professional framework, offering a direct pathway into the teaching profession after higher secondary education.
